To make significant advances in the global quantum ecosystem, cross-organizational collaborations—such as those between academia, government, and industry—are essential. By integrating partnership into our work, Microsoft is advancing the quantum industry. Microsoft’s Quantum compute platform integrates high-performance computing (HPC), AI, and quantum error detection and correction, making it a comprehensive solution for our hardware providers, and delivering hardware and software modalities that advances all Quantum efforts worldwide.
When: Wednesday, September 17
Time: 10:10am-10:30am ET
Location: Main Theater
SESSION
Presenter: Matthias Troyer
Microsoft Technical Fellow Matthias Troyer will walk through the architecture of utility-scale quantum computers, showing how they can fit into today’s cloud infrastructure without reinventing the wheel. Like GPUs or FPGAs, quantum computers will serve as computational accelerators within modern data centers. Troyer will trace the flow of a quantum application from high-level code to qubit operations, explore how error correction shapes the architecture, and highlight how hybrid platforms that unite AI, HPC, and quantum computing will solve problems classical machines cannot.
When: Wednesday, September 17
Time: 1:00pm-1:15pm ET
Location: The Vault
