The Azure Quantum Service

Azure Quantum is Microsoft’s quantum computing cloud service built on the trusted, scalable, and highly secure Azure platform. It is the world’s most comprehensive full-stack, public cloud quantum computing ecosystem and includes a diverse and compelling selection of quantum hardware and software solutions from Microsoft and partners. Azure Quantum provides an open, flexible environment that adapts to your needs, accelerates your progress and future proofs your technology.

With Azure Quantum you can use the familiar and trusted Azure platform to learn how to develop and program quantum algorithms and run them on real hardware from multiple providers. Its open ecosystem allows you to create and run your algorithms on several platforms at once while retaining the ability to tune them for specific systems. Choose to work in your preferred programming language, with support for Cirq, Qiskit, and Q#.

While quantum computers available today are enabling interesting experimentation and research, they are unable to accelerate computations necessary to solve real-world problems. By using the Azure Quantum Resource Estimator to gauge requirements (such as hardware resources, number of physical and logical qubits and runtime), progress can be made today to create and refine algorithms that can eventually run on tomorrow’s fault-tolerant scaled quantum computers.

Azure Quantum brings together the most innovative quantum computing and optimization solutions into a single cloud service, making it easy to simultaneously explore today’s quantum systems and prepare for the scaled quantum systems of the future, with pre-built solutions that run on classical and accelerated compute resources (also referred to as optimization solutions).

Try Azure Quantum and get started for free.  It’s as simple as creating an Azure Quantum workspace in the Azure portal, selecting Quick create to automatically create the workspace and add the default providers. If you’re already an Azure customer, sign in to the Azure portal and search for quantum workspaces.
